Aug 4 - Volunteer Appreciation Paddle to JazZoo

Description
Volunteers and All That Jazz: Join us Friday, August 4, for a volunteer appreciation paddle. Meet at TAASC at 6 PM for a cookout. TAASC will provide a grill and hot dogs. Please bring a covered dish to share. We will leave TAASC around 7:30 PM to paddle to the zoo for the JazZoo Concert that starts at 8:00 PM. Be sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp to paddle safely back to TAASC in the dark. Please limit to 5 family members.
6:00 PM for cookout. Paddle for zoo about 7:30. Concert begins at 8 PM.
Provided:
Life jackets, paddles, kayaks, and rescue gear will be provided for all volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own gear for use.
TAASC will provide a grill and hot dogs. Volunteers may bring their own meat for grilling.
Bring:
Water bottle
headlamp or flashlight (required)
covered dish to share
light jacket (it will be cool in the evening)
Description:
All first-time kaykers are required to take a brief safety and skills lesson. TAASC provides kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. Everyone is required to wear their life jacket and have it completely fastened while on the water.
