Description
Give Your Paddle A Purpose: Join us Sunday, August 20, at TAASC in hosting the Central Ohio Spina Bifida Association Picnic and Paddle Event. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work one-on-one or in small groups with a large group of families affected by spina bifida to provide a basic kayak lesson and paddling experience.
Volunteer Arrival Time:
11:30 AM
Volunteer End Time:
4:30 PM
Provided:
Life jackets, paddles, kayaks, and rescue gear will be provided for all volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own gear for use.
Bring:
Lunch is provided for volunteers.
Water bottle, sunscreen, hat, red TAASC volunteer shirt (if you have one).
Volunteer Roles Needed:
Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 Kayak Volunteers
Description:
All first-time kaykers are required to take a brief safety and skills lesson. TAASC provides kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. Everyone is required to wear their life jacket and have it completely fastened while on the water.
